BIOGRAPHY

I am a mixed media artist who has lived and worked throughout Southwestern Ontario and the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area (GTHA). I moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake in 2015, where I maintain a dedicated studio space. I am a primarily self-taught contemporary artist with a solid foundational background in architecture and landscape design. My artistic education has been enriched by attending art classes at several respected institutions including Mohawk College in Hamilton, the Dundas Valley School of Art, the Burlington Art Centre, and the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre in Niagara-on-the-Lake. While my professional career, as well as some health-related challenges, have previously prevented me from pursuing art as a full-time occupation, I enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to retire early from my professional work. This transition has now allowed me to fully dedicate myself to my true passion—creating art.

In 2024, I became an Elected Member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL) Arts Collective. The NOTL Arts Collective is a group of local professional artists, galleries, and curators formed in 2022 to boost visual arts in the town, aiming to establish Niagara-on-the-Lake as a premier art destination by promoting local talent, collaborating, and enriching the cultural scene through exhibitions and shared marketing.

In 2025, I became an Elected Member of the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA). The OSA is Canada's oldest professional art association, founded in 1872, dedicated to promoting visual arts in Ontario through exhibitions, advocacy, and fostering a strong artist community. Historical members of the OSA include Lawren Harris, Tom Thomson, J.E.H. MacDonald and A.J. Casson.The OSA is a registered charity with a diverse membership of contemporary painters, sculptors, photographers, and other visual artists, known for showcasing significant Canadian art and influencing art development in the province. The OSA has a proud history of conservation in Ontario, including taking a stand to protect Ontario’s old growth forests.
